Masi and Serego Alighieri choose organic agriculture in Tuscany
The purchase of the "Poderi del Bello Ovile" vineyards, which marks the return of the Conti Serego Alighieri family to Tuscany, has been accompanied by a commitment to preserve environmental biodiversity in the area. The estate lies in the Cinigiano hills on the edge of the Montalcino district and is conducted on organic production principles; the wine it produces, the intense and perfumed Tuscan red from Poderi del Bello Ovile, is using the organic logo on its label. Using organic methods means underlining the authenticity of the vineyard environment, using organic substances and avoiding synthetic products, promoting biodiversity and, in general, applying all vineyard management practices needed to guarantee the most natural and hence most sustainable environment possible.
